Week 3 - Where a Girl Starts

Well this has been a tough week for me, including a trip to the dentist to have a wisdom tooth pulled and the rest to follow soon....

This week's challenge from 52 to Fabulous  is to start somewhere with a goal...

52 to Fabulous
1)My goal is to drink more water.

2)List the barriers
One is will be that I 'need' caffeine sometimes. Pop sometimes is more convenient.  And I grab a can of pop out of the fridge more out of habit than anything...

3)Action Plan
I will drink one glass a water to start my day.  And I will fill large bottles of water the night before and put them in the fridge.  That should make it easier.

I also am working on my Vision Board.  But I'm thinking I'm going to more make a Vision Box rather than a board.  Same concept but I want to put inspirational sayings on the outside of the box and fill the inside with my goals, aspirations and hopes for the future.

52 to Fabulous Week 2 Challenge - What a Girl Needs

This week, it's time to list out what I need to accomplish on top of what I want.

52 to Fabulous

January – Fabulous Beginnings
I'm on the right track, trying to figure out how to improve my life.

February – Fabulous Organization
I need to organize my volunteer work stuff...notes from meetings, paperwork I get back, etc.

March – Fabulous Fitness
I need to really find a good work out plan and stick to it.

April – Fabulous Food
I need to organize all my new recipes so I can make them correctly without scrambling too much.

May – Fabulous Style
I need to let go of the clothes that don't flatter me or make me feel good about myself.  Accept my style for what it truly is.  What I mean is not dressing trendy but more classic.

June – Fabulous Fun
I need to find new ideas to have fun and not do the same old, same old.

July – Fabulous Hobbies
I need to cultivate a new hobby.  Something challenging to me, will make me get up and moving or thinking.

August – Fabulous Finances
I need, need, need a tracking system of how I spend my money.

September – Fabulous Family
I need to make sure I spend time with my mom, brother and extended family.

October – Fabulous Health
I need to drink less pop and more water.

November – Fabulous Home
I need to get a cleaning system in order by now...

December – Fabulous Blogging
I need to figure out a focus for my blogging. Need to have an original blog topic to talk about.

And now....I need to come up with an action plan to start accomplishing one of my wants from last week.

Organizing my closet is a want from last week.

I will take a couple hours out and go through my clothes to see what I should keep or get rid of. I will also organize my closet by type, color, etc and make it easy to put my laundry away. I will search the blogosphere to see if anybody has any good tips to keep track of what I have and what I need.

A beautiful tree at the Lilac Fest last May

Thursday 13

My first Thursday 13....Found another blog that has given me a new chance to really think and write about life....Hope perhaps you'll want to participate as well! So here is Thursday 13

To start off the new year, my list of 13 is 13 things I'm looking forward to this year.

  1. First and foremost, it's my wonderful Cub Scout camp.  I am a camp director for a volunteer run one week long camp in July.  Although I don't have children, my brother is an Eagle Scout and my whole family has found ways to participate and give back to the Scouting program.  Our camp is going to be awesome, due to my wonderful program director and staff, but also because of our theme.  'A Night at the Cub Scout Museum.'  A great theme to use since it's the 100 Year Anniversary of the Scouting program!
  2. One year anniversary with Boyfriend.  I finally found a wonderful boyfriend that I have created a lot of memories in the last year with.  I feel very comforted and safe with him.  An actual partner.  It's nice and refreshing!
  3. Celebrating my 27th birthday.  I just have a feeling it's going to be great!
  4. Taking another trip out to California, hopefully! Boyfriend is a water polo referee and last year he refereed National Junior Olympics in San Jose and I had the chance to meet him out there for part of the week.  NJOs will be in L.A. this summer, so I'm hoping that I'll be able to go! :) It'd be a blast!
  5. Lilac Fest....a two week fest in a local suburb nearby...Love, love, love going and smelling the flowers and enjoy taking pictures.
  6. Scoutarama...Yet another Scouting event...at least I won't be running it! :) I'll just go and help and enjoy all the activities.
  7. Looking forward to enjoying all the seasons.  I'm determined to make sure to do activities to savor all of the seasons...yes even winter...
  8. Doing more crafts than I have in the past.  Trying to work past my impatience and complete crafts that I would have given up in the past.
  9. Going to the theatre more than I have in the past.
  10. Getting a new cell phone! I love my old one, but looking forward to a new one!
  11. Becoming more organized.  Life, papers, clothes, craft stuff, etc.
  12. Taking dance classes again.
  13. Creating new memories...that's what I'm really looking forward to...just in whatever I do and living a more fulfilled life.

Starting out my new blog, I'm trying to figure out what exactly I'm going to use this for.  Personal use, crafting, musings, etc...Not sure yet.  But I have started this blog out for at least one purpose -- to join in on the 52 to Fabulous.  To really challenge myself to become the best me possible.

52 to Fabulous

The first challenge is to list all that I want to according.  The blogger was very kind to lay out what topics that each month will cover so I will use that as a jumping off point.
